  • 1.  Does Oracle ASO Support of SecureSphere Agent cover Oracle Enterprise Linux OS?

    Posted 01-20-2020 08:07
    Hi all,

    According to the release notes can be reached via Imperva Documentation Portal, SecureSphere agent, released after v13.0 GA, supports the monitoring of ASO connection with Oracle DBs running on Solaris SPARC 10 and 11.

    What happens if the OS is OEL? Is this configuration supported or not?

    Hi Cezmi,

    Which version of Oracle DB are you looking at?
    In general terms, Oracle 12.2 in both ASO and non-ASO configuration is supported on both OEL and OEL-UEK since sometime in v12, so with v13 agent you should be fine, but getting the specific version of the DB would make it easier to be absolutely sure.

    Hello Stefan,
    I'm getting this error from my Imperva MX. The Agent is up and running but its running with errors;

    "Oracle ASO connections were detected but could not be monitored due to agent ASO misconfiguration"

    We have Oracle 11G (11.2.0.4), 12.1.0.1 and Oracle 12C (12.1.0.2) versions.

    Imperva Agents on the servers: 14.1.0.20.5.578723 and 14.1.0.20.5.578238

    OS Kernel version: 11.4-11.4.20.01.1.4.0

    Hello,

    https://www.imperva.com/sign_in.asp?retURL=/articles/Concept/RHEL-7-4-with-SecureSphere-Agent-and-ASO  does this help?
    When i use the advanced configuration to enable or disable ASO usually is very effective.
