People want to connect with other people that are working on similar projects, have similar jobs, use the same products and more. Let's talk about this. To get you started, answer as many questions as you see fit, but try to answer at least two of them. Or add your own commentary. Let's do this.

    1. What is your role at your company?
    2. Do you use Imperva products? If so, which ones?
    3. What do you hope to get out of the community? (product related answers to questions, peer to peer networking, etc..)
    4. What does your security architecture look like? (yes, a tough one, but very interesting)
    5. If you have an Imperva product, what problem are you trying to solve with the product?

This should be good enough to get some conversations started. #LetsGo!

    Hello,

I am Sabajete. I am a system engineer at S&T Albania. I mostly assist our clients with Imperva DAM. Apart from technical issues, that usually are solved with the support I hope with this community we can share experiences and best practices. One of "challanges" I faced was when the client asks for suggestions on security or audit policies. Or what should they audit, what should let go etc. (Consulting)
Technically I am having issues with a client that uses CAS (https://apereo.github.io/cas/6.1.x/index.html) and wants to deploy user tracking, which I am not sure even if Imperva supports it.

    Well, thats it :)

@Sabajete Elezaj That's great. You seem to have a ton of knowledge around DAM. You have asked a ton of great questions already. I will see if I can help you find an answer to you CAS question. If you have specifics I would actually create another question around it HERE. The more details the better.

    Hi everybody

my name is Martin, I am based in Germany. I used to work for Imperva some time ago, since 2017 I am happily self employed as IT Security Consultant. I do (Imperva)-trainings and technical consulting. Besides Imperva I support SonicWall Products and do general IT Security trainings.

    1. What is your role at your company? (Finally) I am the boss :-)
    2. Do you use Imperva products? If so, which ones? I mainly support on-premise WAF & DAM
    3. What do you hope to get out of the community? (product related answers to questions, peer to peer networking, etc..) I am very happy that Imperva set this forum up and I want to see what kind of problems others run into and how they are solved.
    4. What does your security architecture look like? (yes, a tough one, but very interesting)  I have many customers with different architectures. The biggest environment I had the pleasure to work with as a technical project lead was an environment with 10 gateways in 2 DC's.
    5. If you have an Imperva product, what problem are you trying to solve with the product? Add more security!

Looking forward for some really cool technical discussions!

    Cheers
    Martin

This is a very good thread to have. Usually some of the best ideas come from when everyone openly discusses how they do things, and maybe that could trigger a different way to think about or approach a solution to a problem.

    1. What is your role at your company? I am the primary Imperva/Incapsula administrator and we use WAF product very very heavily (several hundred applications all developed by different users in different ways using different frameworks and/or OTS applications). I have been working with Imperva WAFs for about 8 years now. We are one of the largest government entities in the United States, and only fall behind the federal government, a couple of state governments, and New York City in sheer volume of constituents served, budget required (at a County scale, not at the security level :( ), and programs administered. Because of this we have a very diverse set of users/developers in various industries (health services of various kinds, public works, GIS, children and family services, tax and auditing, voting and registrations, etc.).
    2. Do you use Imperva products? If so, which ones? SecureSphere WAF and Incapsula products.
    3. What do you hope to get out of the community? (product related answers to questions, peer to peer networking, etc..) As mentioned, hopefully some of us can connect and share ideas, solutions, etc. to learn from each other, offer suggestions, and better secure all of our environments.
    4. What does your security architecture look like? (yes, a tough one, but very interesting) We have layered Imperva products, which now are the Incapsula Cloud with several features available to the cloud, all of which flow into our SecureSphere WAFs for more advanced processing and rule sets.
    5. If you have an Imperva product, what problem are you trying to solve with the product? Our primary focus is on protecting the developers from themselves and from the attackers, complying with internal regulations and policies, and adding security to our web application framework.
i would be very open to questions and discussions about problems others have faced and how they solved them, and in return helping others if I have experienced or solved an issue in our environment. We are pushing a lot of applications into Cloud providers now, so I would be extremely interested in how others who are going through Cloud migrations may be handling their environments (including using Incapsula/Imperva cloud or virtual SecureSphere appliances, API development around Incapsula/Imperva cloud, etc.).

@Jason Park Love this! My goal is to make connections happen within this community. In about a month, the community will have a dashboard that shows up. When you login to the site, users can add specific products and other items to the dashboard. Once I get some of that information into the backend of the community, I will be able to easily connect others that have the same products.  It will look similar, but not limited to the attached.

    Hi Christopher,
Thanks to accept me in Imperva Community Group.
Here below few words about myself:

What is your role at your company?
I am a Regional Sales Manager At DataGroupIT, a sole Imperva Ditributor for Africa.
Do you use Imperva products? If so, which ones?
We do sell Imperva Solutions for DAM, WAF,  FlexProtect, etc.
What do you hope to get out of the community? (product related answers to questions, peer to peer networking, etc..)
We expect to increase the add value to our partners in the ground and help them to address the right imperva message to the market. Product highlights, case study, sales elevator pitch, customer success experience, etc.
What does your security architecture look like? (yes, a tough one, but very interesting)
What i can say is that our Cyber Security awareness in Africa is very low and we are plenty of oportunity to leverage Imperva as the solution for Data and DataBase Protection.
If you have an Imperva product, what problem are you trying to solve with the product?
I do sell Imperva to our Imperva Partners and from there to our customers. Most of them are happy customers looking for upgrades and continue business with us.

Hello!  I am Wendy Sahli, Director of Technology for the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS) and we have the Incapsula Enterprise 20 subscription with firewall and CDN.  We recently

I'm hoping to learn more about utilizing the Imperva products to further secure our website due to our newly increased web profile.  We are a nonprofit with a membership of regulatory professionals working primarily in pharma and medical devices.  Recently our news has become extremely popular, leading to us becoming a recent target of a level 7 DDOS attack.  With Incapsula's support, we were able to contain and remove the threat to our site within 12 hours which is incredible!  Our site is in the Azure cloud, with Incapsula CDN with the Kentico CMS.

I have worked in nonprofits for over 18 years managing technology, originally as a web developer myself and now the entire department.  I'm on the ASAE Tech Council (2020 and now 2021) and I look forward to hearing from other nonprofits and learning from the experts!

My name is Chris Richardson, i am an independent consultant and my company is Emerging Networks, Inc.  I have implemented several hundred WAF, DAM and Imperva Cloud WAF for public, private and governmental agencies worldwide.  I am also a customer of Imperva Cloud WAF for my other venture called Approvalexperts.com.

As a ProServ consultant, I am challenged daily with various architectures, configurations and expectations from my customers on product functionality and capability.  I need to stay updated on the product suite and the Community is a valuable source of direct information for questions I cannot readily find in the documentation.  I also benefit from the relative knowledge from direct sources within Imperva.

As far as my use of the product, I know the capability of the Imperva products compared to other competing products and have used the WAF products to stop some large- scale attacks in some of the largest companies and most vulnerable environments.  The DAM readily provides important information, as soon as we implement it, that helps to identify or prevent attack vectors within organizations and even help DBAs improve the database by identifying weaknesses in the environment.
