Hi, I would implement a website to the Imperva Incapsula and for this reason I'm reading the Imperva documentation. The first step is DNS change, now my site have a DNS A record for test.domain.com with the load balancer VIP. Reading this article: https://www.imperva.com/blog/configuring-incapsula-web-protection-on-aws/ it seems that for subdomain a CNAME it's necessary but my question is: Should I delete the current DNS A record? Thank you

    Hi Marco,

Yes, once you create the site configuration over CloudWAF (formerly Incapsula) you will have an alias where to point the traffic (such as something.x.incapdns.net). The idea is that you replace your current A record with a CNAME pointing to that alias. In this way your users, instead of going directly to your server (which is in the IP of our A record) will be sent to Imperva CloudWAF's IP addresses via the alias.

I hope this is more clear to you.

    Best Regards,
