    Hello,

Many reports generated by MX contain very long queries and when opened in excel is malformed. The only solution so far is if we upload them to google sheets, they are perfectly formatted. Has anyone had this issue?

thanks @Sabajete Elezaj for the question.  Maybe @Stefan Pynappels or @Craig Burlingame could help with this question.

    Hi @Sabajete Elezaj

The issue might be because Excel doesn't recognize UTF-8 Encoding automatically when opening files.
I assume your queries might have some non-English chars?

One workaround can be to open your CSV is notepad first, then clicking "save as" and choosing "UTF-8 with BOM".
Another workaround is to open Excel, choose "Data -> From text/CSV " and then choose UTF8 or another encoding.

Finally - It can be a nice Feature Request to have the MX create CSV reports already with BOM (Byte Order Mark).

    I hoe this helps,
    Roee
