    Hello community,

    We received an alert on mail, Agent Disk Space Warning - Agent Disk Space Warning and the message is below -

    • Message: Agent /opt/imperva/ragent//var directory is located on a disk with less than 512 MB free space. Currently 493 MB are available

    What needs to be done in this scenario ? Awaiting for answers ....

    Hi,

    the best way during agent installation is to create a new disk partition for the DB agent.
    On partition /opt are a lof of Linux program's files and when there is not enough free space then Linux could crash.
    In the agent was implemented a mechanism and when is less than 100MB on HDD then it will stop monitoring.
    Now you can do two things:
    first - you can reduce the agent's quote (on Setup -> agents -> settings tab -> advanced criteria) according to free space on your /opt partition
    second -> and it is recommended - you should add space to /opt partition.

    Hi Karol,

    So you mean to say, we need to add the space on /opt directory on the DB server on which the agent is installed ?
    If yes, what is the amount of space we need to increase ?

    Yes, you should add more space on /opt.

    The default amount is 8GB for agent buffer plus files size of agent and agent installer.
    I recommend a minimum of 9-10GB HDD space for the agent.

    We are receiving a warning mail from DAM for the agent disk space at a particular time everyday. Why is it so ?

    Hi,

    Please check your database. Maybe it processes a lot of transactions every day at the same time.
    When the DB server has not free resources (CPU / memory / I/O) the Agent is collecting data on HDD, and the buffer or HDD has become full.
