  • 1.  Is Hortonworks Hadoop (HDP) on CentOS supported?

    Hi all,

If we run Hortonworks Hadoop (HDP) on CentOS, does Imperva Agent support this deployment?

When I checked Data Security Coverage Tool | Imperva portal, "Red Hat EL" or "Oracle Linux UEK (x86_64)" is supported but CentOS is not. Should I consider that if RHEL is supported, it also works on CentOS properly?

    Thanks,

    Hi,

Although our documentation states that we do not officially "support" CentOS, we do support Red Hat which is the same thing.  In my experience, our RH agents work identically on CentOS; this just means that we do not formally continue testing our agents on CentOS as there are many OSs and kernels included in the QA regression testing process.
