    Hello Anna,

Not that I am aware of, however, the configuration on the Gateway contains basic information such as IP address, default gateway, time server, DNS server, etc. The MX contains the policy configuration, and will be pushed to the new Gateway once it is connected and registered with the MX.

This Gateway configuration information can be reviewed with the impcfg command at the command line of the Gateway. Impcfg is a text driven UI that is used for configuring and reviewing Gateway settings. For the full functionality map, please see: https://docs.imperva.com/bundle/v13.6-administration-guide/page/8738.htm

Make note of this information, and apply what is applicable to the new Virtual gateway. (for example, the IP and and default gateway may be different on the new device)

Once the new Gateway is registered with the MX (assuming you have a license available) the last step will be to move the new Gateway to the proper gateway group within the MX UI. This is located under Main>Setup>Gateways.

    Thanks.
