  • 1.  Agent Prerequisite Tests failed

    HI Community,

    I'm having a strange erorr, while installing agent on Solaris10 as below:

    Please check for compatible package using the which_ragent_package tool - see the Customer Portal article titled "Which-Agent-version-to-install-on-the-Database".

    It said we couldn't install the agent due to permission althoght we are using root acount. We tried to install it on other folder, another error appear:" invalid charactor in folder name" then failed.

    The diskspace was fine, tried to open a case but got no support because the OS and DB weren't supported ( Out of date).

    This host is running oracle RAC, we have installed on other RAC note successfully and on other db aswell (Same OS version and DB version(oracle RAC 11g)).

    Please share any experience if you got this issue.

    Hi Nguyen,

    As we don't support it anymore, it's unlikely you'll get insight from Imperva on this one. Perhaps if you add a few more tags, you may get some other users sharing their experience.

    Hi Nguyen,

     

    Perhaps you may try to ignore TEST1 since you are root already. No guarantee. Run the following before re-start installation.

     

    export IMP_RA_IGNORE_TESTS=T1

    Thank you for your help, i'll try and inform you later.

    About the agent crash database case, we just enabled it and it didn't happen until now so sorry i have no more info to help you.

    Hi Nguyen,

     

    No worry. We managed to simulate the reboot and identify the memory leak root cause, which is originated from detect of the Imperva dlopen call to the Oracle CollectorLoader module . We are waiting for the promised fix by the Imperva backend in the next version.
