What is the supported ciphers for Database Activity Monitoring GW and Agents?

I found only list of WAF product on docs.imperva.com and customer portal knowledgebase.

    Hi Phil,

do you know any other solution besides installing agent when the cipher is not supported by imperva?

    Thanks,
    Kamal

Not sure how I stumbled across this thread, and I know it's old, but you have multiple options.

    .

    1)  You could bypass the issue of ciphers and encryptions entirely by collecting logs from the database (agentless collection) using Data Security Fabric (DSF)

    1. Blog: https://www.imperva.com/blog/agents-and-agentless-better-together/
    2. Coverage: https://www.imperva.com/products/data-security/broadest-coverage/
    3. KuppingerCole: https://www.imperva.com/resources/resource-library/reports/kuppingercole-leadership-compass-for-data-security-platforms/

    .

    2)  You could adjust the cipher being used on the database server.  I think you need to consider your scenario and the DB vendors best practices.  It is an option that I've seen customers use on occasion.

    .

    3)  It's possible that a different version of the agent and/or the DAM system may support the cipher your DB is using.  I would you suggest you start by looking at what you're running now, and compare it to what's available via the Imperva Data Security Coverage Tool.  You can cross reference that with the release notes for another version of the agent and/or OnPremise DAM in our Docs Portal, or you can contact support.

    .

I hope you find the information helpful.
