  • 1.  Redirect traffic from the root to a subdirectory

    Posted 05-03-2021 12:15
    Hi,
We're migrating from another WAF solution, where the former admin used the WAF to redirect traffic instead of the server itself. We don't have support from the application vendor, so changes to the server aren't going to happen.

I need to redirect traffic from site.domain.com/ to site.domain.com/welcome/login.aspx for only the root directory and not directories below that.

I would also like to see if can redirect traffic based on the URL/DNS entry that it's coming from. site1.domain.com would go to site1.domain.com/site1 and site2.domain.com/ would go to site2.domain.com/site2, but the Imperva DNS name would be the same xyz123.impervadns.net

    Thanks

    Hi John,

    I guess this might help.
    https://docs.imperva.com/bundle/cloud-application-security/page/rules/create-rule.htm#Redirect

You can setup rules for "Redirect URL", or even "Rewrite Request", see which one better fits in your case.

    Hi John,

As your second requirement, You may want to look at this "CNAME reuse" article : https://docs.imperva.com/bundle/cloud-application-security/page/more/cname-reuse.htm

    Hope this help!
