  • 1.  Exlcude all Backup operations from Database Activity Monitoring

    Posted 08-29-2024 04:26

    Hello Imperva Community Members,

    Greetings for the day,

I have a requirement in Database Activity Monitoring (DAM),

I have recently observed that whenever backup is running on oracle database, the Imperva DAM agents utilize a high amount of resource. It is putting heaving load on the database server and causing Agent to disable (system and CPU cap have been put in place)

Is there a way to configure AMR for excluding the BACKUP operations on the database?

Would appreciate if some one could provide guidance regarding the same

    Hi @Bharath Patil

You will have 2 ways to create the AMR with the following match criteria's

1.- using agent criteria - process details

    or

    2.- source applications

Thanks Alejandro for the solutions, I did try to enter details in Source application but did not get the desired result,

regarding the process path => Operations is contains and the Value would be the path where RMAN is configured right?
