Hi team, please maybe do you know how can I recover "imperva" user password on gateway?. I have a procedure for reset this password, but inconvenience is that infrastructure is around of 20 agent around and is not feasible re-register each agent. We need only recover it. Thanks a lot for your comments or ideas.

Hi,

You can find "imperva" user password here:

cd /opt/SecureSphere/etc

cat bootstrap.xml | grep imperva

And maybe you can use one of these commands to decrypt it:

password_decode     password_decrypt    password_encode     password_encrypt    password_gw_encode  password_hash

or if you have ver 14.8 or newer, you can use the command: gateway_password_config

I'm not sure, but maybe it is possible to set the secondary password for the imperva user. I used it but I do not remember all available options.
