  • 1.  Security Alerts are not getting generated Post MX Patching

    Hello Community Team Members,

    Greetings for the Day.

    We have patched the Imperva - MX from 14.15 to 14.16.

    Post Successful patching of MX, we are not receiving even a single Security Alert on the MX,

    We are receiving Audit logs, System Events, issue seems to be isolated only to Security Alerts

    Request your guidance on this regard

    Hi Bharath,

    It might be because of the bug DM-355 (Alerts were not being received by MX) which seems to be fixed in DAM v14.16 as per release notes.

    Please check with Support Team who will further analyse this case.

    Thanks for the reply,

    Yes, But I am facing issue in 14.16 version

    I have raised  a case with support portal,

    But there has been no reply from them even though the severity is set to "High" meanwhile it has hampered our monitoring , Hence I have posted this in community for guidance,

    Any alternative solution or guidance will be largely helpful

    Hi Bharath,

    Did you get any response from support? Did your IT team analyze GTI and find any error (something related to the below one)?

    Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01658: unable to create INITIAL extent for segment in tablespace SYSAUX

    Hi,

    Well We have MX in HA Setup, the secondary MX patching failed and we were working on primary MX where we faced the issue,

    we fixed the Secondary MX, re-established the HA and then the Alerts started to flow. 

    I guess the issue was with configuration, since we have 2 MX, we created a Virtual IP for accessing DAM, Since the MX-HA was broken and we were using the Primary MX, but the configuration was still checking for HA setup and Virtual IP which caused the issue.
