API's are the building blocks of all modern connected software.  They power everything from mobile apps, modern web applications, IoT devices, and are the language businesses use to exchange information.  The explosive growth of the number of API's on the internet is a direct result of the immense potential API's have to transform every business.

Unfortunately, the nuances and challenges of securing API's is also one of the more poorly understood areas of AppSec.  Over the coming months @Peter Klimek and @Christopher Detzel will be hosting a series of Community Webinars focused on helping security professionals better understand API's, the unique challenges of securing API's, and most importantly, how to identify and address common weaknesses in API's.
