  • 1.  Error running imperva agent installation on an oracle linux 8 server

    Hi,

    Please can they help me with your experiences in installing the Imperva agent on an Oracle Linux 8?

    I am trying to install the agent, run which_ragent, the data it showed me was the following:

    [root@l agent]# ./which_ragent_package_0270.sh -v 14.0.0

    When I running the install.sh displays the following:

       -n Do not run cli init script and approve changes need to be made to configuration file(s) on your system(s).
       -s Start the Agent service after upgrade. this option can only be used with -u.
       -j Do not start the Agent service after upgrade. this option can only be used with -u.
    Debug Options:
       -v Run installation with verbose prints.
       -t Run installation with xtrace prints.
       -b Ignore the Secure Boot pre-installation test.
       -g Install using a custom temporary directory.
       -o Force monitoring mode using kernel

    Failed to install the Remote Agent.

    Firstly, read on the link below what you should consider for non-windows environment.

    In addition to this, you must check the Secure Boot.

    Have a look on the link below:

    After checking the steps above regarding the Secure Boot, check if the file you have for installation is executable or not and start installation of the agent.

    Hi Orlando,

    Could you check the disk space of the related server? By default agent is installed under /opt partition.

    HI,

    I think that is the problem with privileges.
    The agent unzips files in the TEMP folder and tries to run the installation from there.
    RHEL could be hardened, and running any applications from TEMP may be impossible.
