    Hi Community

I wanted to share some information on an upcoming change in our CAPTCHA solution, as part of our ongoing commitment to providing you with the highest level of security and service. This is purely informational - no action is required by you

Starting in February we will be transitioning from Google's reCAPTCHA to hCAPTCHA. We made this decision after careful consideration and rigorous testing by the Imperva Threat Research Team, who found hCAPTCHA an excellent solution for our needs and the needs of our customers. This blog post digs into the details a little further if you would like to learn more:

    Shifting from reCAPTCHA to hCaptcha

Our Customer Success and product teams have put together short FAQ to help address any initial queries you may have. As always, if you have any additional questions, post them below and we will ensure the relevant team addresses them.

    1. Why is Imperva making this change?

We are transitioning to hCAPTCHA for several reasons, including its superior efficacy, continuous service improvements, global availability (including China, which Google does not support), and GDPR compliance. We also considered concerns expressed by the market regarding vendors who may use data to target users with ads.

    2. Is this change optional?

We have decided to standardize hCAPTCHA across all our services. This decision was made in the best interest of our customers, ensuring the security and integrity of your data.

    3. What do I need to do?

You don't need to do anything. Our support team will handle the transition, and the change will be transparent.

    4. Who is the new vendor?

hCaptcha provides our new CAPTCHA solution.

    5. Who tested the new solution's efficacy?

We have decided to proceed with hCaptcha as our CAPTCHA provider after thorough testing by the Imperva Threat Research Team, who found it highly effective.

I hope this information is helpful. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to comment below or contact your Imperva contact directly.

    Thanks,
