Hi Ali,
I'm eager to know the result, Since I'm also in same situation now.
Were you able to change the Virtual Device node from IDE to SCSI after powering off the VM Machine.
Once you changed it to SCSI in drop down menu, any rebuild of the machine done?
Kindly revert it will be helpful for me.

Hi All,
Can anyone clarify on the this Virtual Device node change procedure given in the guide. Its basically asking to change it from IDE to SCSI , however VM infra teams says that it cannot be changed with just drop down selection , rather we might have to rebuild the machine.
At the moment Virtual appliances are having virtual device node IDE.
