End of Sale Notice for Imperva App Protect Essentials Subscriptions
Customers who are currently on a App Protect Essentials subscription plan received an End of Sale (EOS) notice via email today.
Below is a summary of the announcement, as well as a FAQ. If you have any questions, please contact your Account Executive or sales@imperva.com.
What’s Changing
Effective December 31, 2023, new or renewed subscriptions as well as bandwidth upgrades of App Protect Essentials will no longer be available for purchase.
Additionally, Enterprise Services for App Protect Essentials will no longer be available.
What Happens Next
On January 1, 2024, all existing App Protect Essentials customers will automatically be migrated to an Imperva App Protect Professional plan. The migration will be seamless for customers. Following the migration, customers will continue to be entitled to all current App Protect Essentials features. Additionally, they will be entitled to new capabilities including: Advanced DDoS Protection for Websites, ATO Detect, and CSP Detect. Customers will receive these new entitlements without additional charge for the remainder of their current subscription term. Customers on Enterprise Services for App Protect Essentials will be migrated to Enterprise Services for App Protect Professional.

When will App Protect Essentials go End of Sale?
App Protect Essentials will no longer be available for renewals or bandwidth and site add-ons after December 31, 2023.

What will happen to my subscription following the End of Sale?
Existing App Protect Essentials customers will automatically migrate to App Protect Professional in January 2024. Following the migration, customers will continue to be entitled to all current App Protect Essentials features. Additionally, they will be entitled to Advanced DDoS Protection for Websites, ATO Detect and CSP Detect. Customers will receive these new entitlements without additional charge for the remainder of their current subscription term.

Can I renew App Protect Essentials for multiple years before December 31, 2023?
Yes. Existing App Protect Essentials customers can continue to renew for one or multi-year terms.
In January 2024, all App Protect Essentials customers will be migrated to App Protect Professional, so the remainder of their subscription will be on App Protect Professional.

How will App Protect Essentials customers be migrated to App Protect Professional?
The migration will be handled by Imperva with no action required on the part of the customer.

Will customers lose any entitlements as a result of the migration?
No.
