  1. If I migrate to App Protect Core, what will I gain?

If migrating to the App Protect Core at renewal, you will receive several new entitlements, including:

  • CacheShield

  • SIEM Integration

  • Reputation Intelligence Feed

  • Basic DDoS Protection for Websites

  • Up to 50 Application Delivery Rules per Site

  • 30 Days of Data Retention

  1. If I migrate to App Protect Core, will I lose any of my current entitlements?

The App Protect Core subscription does not include the following entitlements that are currently in Incapsula Enterprise subscriptions:

  • Advanced client classification settings, including creating custom rules, editing block and allow lists and view classification results in the security events console

  • Custom rate limiting rules

  • Custom Captcha insert rules

  • Unlimited custom security rules (App Protect Core caps custom security rules at 50 rules per site)

  1. What if I use one of the features that is not included in App Protect Core?

If you currently have custom client classification, rate limiting and Captcha insert rules, you will retain those rules after migration. However, you will not be able to add new rules or edit the existing ones. You will be able to delete existing rules at any time.

  1. What if I have more than 50 custom security rules and want to migrate to App Protect Core?

If you migrate to App Protect Core with more than 50 rules, you will retain all of your existing rules. However, you will not be able to edit those rules above the 50-rule threshold. If you want to add a new rule, you would need to delete enough rules, while staying within the 50-rule threshold.

  1. If I move to an App Protect Core plan and have purchased Load Balancing as an add-on, will I be limited to only 50 Application Delivery Rules?

If you have a Load Balancing subscription, you will be able to create unlimited Application Delivery Rules.

  1. My renewal date is in 2024. Can I renew early in 2023 to keep my Incapsula Enterprise subscription?

No. If you have a 2024 renewal date and would like to renew in 2023, you may renew into an App Protect subscription.

  1. Can I renew for more than one year between now and the end of the year?

No. If you have a renewal between August 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023, you will only be able to renew for one year.
