I am delighted to introduce our newest Community Champion, @Luis Elola. Luis has been a member of community for just over one year. In this time, he has shared his extensive knowledge and asked questions that have added great value to our community.

Luis is based in Santiago, Chile and has been a Cybersecurity Product & Advisor Manager at Entel Digital, an Imperva Partner, for over 4 years. With more than 16 years of industry experience, his previous roles include Development Program Manager, R&D Engineer.
So let’s learn a little more about Luis in these quick fire questions…
How did you become interested in cybersecurity?
Since University (2002-2006), I have actively participated in cybersecurity communities, CTF and bug bounty programs through Hackerone and HackTheBox.
What is the most rewarding this about your work?
Today in my role as product manager and cybersecurity advisor, true satisfaction is found when, through world-class technology such as Imperva, we are able to bring our clients solutions that allow us to focus on the prevention or mitigation of technological risks from a more anticipated perspective. Adding the importance of demonstrating, through these, the return on investment (ROI).
If you could give yourself advice when you started in the industry, what would it be?
Never stop researching and studying, it is never enough. Grow the InfoSec community, today we are the immune system of the internet and we need each other ;)
What do you think is the biggest challenge the cybersecurity industry faces?

Organizational transformation, digitization, and migration of your process workloads to cloud environments.

Continuous pressure to comply with regulatory requirements for data protection.

The abuse of modern applications and APIs, being desirable targets today.
What are you looking forward to most in the next 3-5 years?
A Cybersecure world where, through my experience, I can share knowledge with my peers and the community. I love this!
What is your favorite tip or trick for someone using your Imperva product?
Explaining and introducing clients to Imperva’s Security Assessment Score. This really helps to ensure that they are getting value from their investment in Imperva products
What do you like to do when you are not working? Any hobbies or interests you would like to share?
I am the proud Daddy of Vicente (16) and Renata (10) and I'm their top fan when they are playing handball.
I like to swim and I like good coffee. I am a pet lover and have very wooly alpacas, they are red and blue :)
I am a CFT and Bug Bounty Programs enthusiast

I am a Civil Engineer in Electronics, and have been mentioned in automation and robotics (38 years old)
