    Hi Folks,
We have an enviroment with cluster including 4 nodes of X4510.
There's a lot of Databases that send SQL traffic to this cluster.
GWs are under high load and as result MX is under high load too.
Are there some best practice tips to decrease load? For example, exclude some SQL requests from monitoring?
In audit I found large amount of same-type requests that no need to monitor. First think was to exclude them from monitoring using Agent Monitoring Rules. But if I understood right this feature works on GW not on the agent. I mean that criterias which are not an Agent Criteria.
Moreover if I understood right ARM will stop monitor other requests related the session which matched this criteria. Am I right?
So, are there other ways to decrease load except scale up cluster?

    Hi Nikolaj,

    Thanks for posting!

Does this link help with your query? DAM Capacity Management.

I also highly recommend this webinar which specifically looks at DAM Discovery and Classification best practices...

    Sarah,
    Thank you for your reply.
Ive just noticed that I made mistake in subject: thought about "decrease" but wrote "increase". And it's impossible to change it...
    Sorry for that

    Hi Nikolaj,

That's no problem. I have been able to tweak the title for you.

    Thanks,

    Sarah

I know I'm replying to an older thread, but you might find this webinar and blog helpful as they're also about operational best practices:

    Hi Nikolaj!

We faced a similar scenario in the past. The best results that we get with a fine tunning exsercise was take a lok of the top queries of the audit policies under the DB Audit Data pane. Then reviewing this top queries we determined with our customer if that queries are value for him, resulting that the most transactions that we had been view was queries for monitoring tools. We applied an Agent Monitoring Rule to exclude that queries, an then, we reduce above a 80% of the load on our GW's, it may help if you want.

    Best regards!
