In all the installs we have done in Windows I force the agent to be installed on c:\Program Files. The agent will not take that much space on the C: drive and at least it is running in the same drive as the OS.
We do re-direct the data folder to a different drive. You can do that by replacing <files-dir>.</files-dir> with <files-dir>f:\imperva</files-dir> in the advanced settings for the agent.

Subject: Agent installed on a Windows System
Hi Mitesh,
Thank you so much for your response.
The thing is that we installed the agent in a new partition created specifically for the agent and that way we didn't capture traffic. We know that we can modify the path for the installation.
However, our question is: Does the agent have to be installed in the same partition of the database in order to capture traffic?
Based in our test, when we deployed the agent in another partition, we didn't capture traffic but if we install it in the default path we capture traffic properly.
Thank you so much,

Hello Pedro,
The default path is the Windows operating system's "C:\ β¦" disk, as shown in the snapshot from the Imperva SecureSphere Remote Agent Installation Folder below. However, you can alter it if you want to, and doing so will not affect traffic capture following agent installation.

Subject: Agent installed on a Windows System
Hello,
We have installed an agent on a Windows System in a new partition created specifically for the agent (E/:) but the agent is not capturing traffic.
However, if we install the agent in C:/program_files the agent captures traffic properly.
Does it need the agent to be installed in the same partition/location where the database is in order to capture traffic? Or maybe the installation folder must be C:/program_files?
Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you in advance,
Best regards,
