  • 1.  Gateway CPU high usage

    We encountered a high CPU usage event on the Gateway. When we tried to generate Gateway performance data, we observed that the graphs for CPU UserSpace Utilization and CPU Kernel Utilization show high usage alternately.

    We would like to understand of what causes the high CPU Kernel Utilization and what causes the high CPU UserSpace Utilization, based on the screenshot

    provided.

    Hi Kovit,

    There are  many different reasons for GW high CPU, in order to find correct one we need to know much more details about the problem, the event itself, the problematic scenario and the system ( site architecture, used product and  version), collect and analyze some data. I would suggest to address such issue in case to On-Prem Support.

    Hi Marat,

    Case has been raised, but I would like to understand the characteristics of WAF CPU usage, specifically the differences between "CPU UserSpace Utilization" and "CPU Kernel Space Utilization."

    Such as....

    - WAF policies process using "CPU Kernel Space"

    - WAF alerts and monitoring using "CPU UserSpace"

    We would like to understand the symptoms and events that cause high CPU usage.
