    Hello all,

    I have received an update that DAM cluster now need at least 3 nodes (manager, member and redundant) and no more active-passive. But I can't find in the documentation.

    Anyone can tell me where to check that info?

    Dear Long,

    You can still use the gateways as Active/Passive until you configure the cluster. The requirement which you are mentioning is for clustering.

    Hey Long,

    Just a quick details about on gateway configuration (Without cluster):

    Gateway Group Setup:

    • Adding gateways to a group results in Active/Active mode.
    • Agents can be configured with both gateways or available gateways.
    • You manually pick primary and secondary gateways for load balancing in agent configuration.

    Dear Nikhil,

    I was also told that DAM Agent HA is no longer supported. We should use cluster instead. I am wondering why DAM agent HA is not supported anymore? We have many customers with HA configuration. Many of our customer still need HA that is good enough for them. Migrating cluster will add cost as it requires cluster license.

    I was also told by Imperva SE that supports our area that should be at least 2 + 1 (2 active members and 01 redundancy). Cluster with 02 member only will not work properly or stalely (1+1 cluster may not support fail over). I tried to search in Imperva document for this note (cluster must be at least 2 + 1) but didn't find this. We have tested cluster 1 + 1 in our lab and it works

    My question is that, by design does Imperva DAM cluster support 1+1? if not supported, where can I find the note in Imperva document?
