Two questions:
In the documentation, for instance here, it is stated that:
"
- The secure user is also present on the GW as a Linux user and is used to authenticate the GW (Gateway) to the MX when registering it.
- The secure user password should be the same on both the MX and the GW.
"
However on our MX, SOM and GW's this user does not exist on 14.6. Is the secure user deprecated and only exists as a DB user now?
The admin CLI user is now also created by default. I assume this user is meant for connecting to the CLI for maintenance, configuration, etc purposes. In impcfg the password cannot be changed and it is noted that "Error: Managing user 'admin' is not allowed as it is an internal system account". Looking in the 14.7 Administration guide, the admin CLI user is not mentioned. Can someone confirm that the admin user is meant for maintenance, we can use passwd and pam_tally2 to manage the user without interfering with any of the Imperva processes?
