  • 1.  Profile: Database Profile Tuning

    In the MySQL Profile, some usernames are garbled.
    Profile-List
    1. What is the cause of this garbling?
     Is it the character set settings of the service? Or is it the TLS encryption of MySQL?
     
    2. How can I delete them? I have manually deleted some, 
    but some of the garbled characters are too special, making them impossible to delete and causing errors.
    Profile-Delete
     
    3. How can I quickly clear all application profiles instead of deleting them one by one? 
    Is there a command to directly clear the profile from MX's Oracle?

    Hi Wenlong,

    Please check whether the agent used to monitor MySQL database is compatible with OS and DB versions or not by referring to Data Security Coverage Tool and Agent Release Notes. Secondly, did you notice any such type of gibberish data in DB user column of the audit policies?

    Although we noticed such garbled DB users (but not so long like you showed), this issue was resolved after the agent upgradation.
