  • 1.  Removing gateways from MX

    Posted 11-30-2022 08:53
    Hi All

We cloned our production MX to do some testing regarding changes we would like to implement.
We also cloned a gateway from production for our testing.
We do not need all the gateways that were registered to the prod MX to be listed on the testing MX.

Is there a way to remove the gateways and their cluster configurations?
I currently am unable to do anything to these gateways as they are in a cluster and the cluster cannot be deactivated as the gateways are not reporting to this MX.

    Regards
    Chris

    Hi,

If you need only one gateway for testing, you can remove the working gateway from the cluster using SSH (impcfg) and register it to MX with a different name and IP in the new gateway group.
    maybe it will help.

    Hi Chris,
Removing/unregistering the gateway from the MX , standalone or clustered can be found in this link.  https://docs.imperva.com/bundle/v13.6-administration-guide/page/7273.htm

It is a straightforward process and should be no problem.

    Hope this helps.
