  • 1.  Stopped Gateways Do Not Reconnect When Started

    Hi,
    We are currently using the on-premise WAF (SecureSphere) version 14.6 from the AWS Marketplace.
    I was trying to investigate if the AWS scaling group warm pools would work with the gateways, but I have found that if I stop a gateway instance and then start it again it never re-connects to the MX again. It just permanently remains in a "disconnected" state in the MX.
    Anybody know why this would be?

    Hi Rick,

    Have you tried to re-register the GW in question to the MX post GW instance start up?

    Hi Rafael, thanks for reply.
    No I haven't tried to re-register the GW after start up.
    Mainly because I'm not sure how I would go about doing this in an automated way.

    Hi Rick,

    thank you for your feedback.

    Please note, as long as it was just stopped it should have the same private IP which it communicates with the MX - hence, no reason for it to stay as Disconnected.
    I can suggest to engage with our support team and raise a case, in order to investigate this matter further.
