  • 1.  What is the maxmum recommend days to store the data in IMperva Gateways

    Dear Team,
     
    Could you please provide recommend retention for Imperva gateways to store the  logs ?
     
    If we want to store the logs in gateways for 2 months, do you have any sizing guide for storage calculation?  If we have please share it.
     
    PLease advice.

    Hi,

    As far as we know, Imperva did not publish any such KB article detailing the number of audit events and corresponding space requirement in the DAM tool while in case of DSF Hub (erstwhile Sonar or jSonar), they have provided one such document (https://docs.imperva.com/bundle/z-kb-articles-knowledgebase-support/page/289389105.html).

    Remember - Gateway is not a storage device, free up disk space on Gateways by scheduling archiving and purging. The frequency of these jobs depends on particular environment. Also, these jobs require CPU and memory utilization, schedule them in lower traffic times.

    If audit policy that is exceeding its policy or gateway quota, under the relevant policy settings, configure scheduled archive and purge to relieve load. If archive and purge are already defined, configure them to be conducted at a more regular interval.

    Thirdly, kindly raise a support case so that you may get the required sizing guide.
