The Boy who Cried WAF - Troubleshoot Reverse Proxy WAF Connections with tcpdump

When you experience network issues, it is a common assumption that the WAF is at fault, when many other factors are also at play. Tcpdump is a command line tool that is very useful for network troubleshooting. When troubleshooting connections on On-Premise WAF, tcpdump can help you zero in on where the the issue is in the connection chain.

In this technical session, Frank will walk through the tcpdump basic commands, tcp three-way handshake and MX traffic routing, before sharing and troubleshooting some real world problems. As always, we will leave time at the end for attendees to ask Frank questions.
